Once Upon A Time...

Several years ago now, my family went on a trip through the Panama Canal. I had just bought my Canon PowerShot S3 IS in time for the trip and took more pictures than I knew what to do with. Unfortunately, less than a year later, the computer that contained all of these pictures (and more) died, in a rather dramatic fashion. Needless to say, I have since become an advocate of backing up your digital material, in any way possible. By some twist of luck, these pictures are the survivors.

Is the only difference the stigma attached to the person? If they are likable in other aspects...?

Perception?
Maybe it's tied up in whether the person has been romanticized or not...
